Mersea Island Charity Kayak Paddle

Fourteen members of the club took part in this year’s charity paddle around Mersea Island to raise money for the West Mersea RNLI branch. It was a great paddle, setting off in the glorious sunshine and calm waters. By the time we had crossed the Stood and paddled the top end of the Island, the winds picked up, the dark clouds arrived and some very interesting choppy waves made for great paddling.

With the online donations and participants contributions, we have managed to raise an amazing £1,005. Of course, it is still not too late to donate as the just giving site will remain open until the weekend.
