We arrange initial starter sessions for beginners to canoeing. Separate sessions are arranged for adults (usually Saturdays) and juniors (usually weekday evenings) to coincide with coaches availability.

We are currently asking for a payment of £22 for the initial starter session (this is also the registration fee for the club). Following the first session if you wish to join the club subscriptions for the year starting 1st April 2026 are :-
Initial Registration Fee £22.00
Full Member £55.00
Family Membership £80.00
Junior Member (under 18) £40.00
If you join mid year the rates applicable are on a pro-rata basis. Please read the constitution for further rules. No landing fees or additional fees apply apart from equipment hire (see below)
Should you wish to store your boat in the boathouse, as a member, subject to availability, the annual fee is £46, £60 £90 or £110 depending upon type of rack required.
Club boats and paddles can be hired at £5 per day for members of the club who can demonstrate the correct control of the equipment. Members are liable for any damage to club equipment that is hired to them.
If you are returning to canoeing after a break and would like to join the club an initial check of any qualifications you may hold and an evaluation of competency is conducted before introducing you to the correct area of the club.
The club does not hire out club equipment to non-members. Changing facilities, hot showers, use of the clubhouse are all part of the benefits membership offers.
