We are being offered the opportunity to comment on where the marine conservation zones are to be located and also to record which parts of the sea we use. I have recorded where I know the club goes but if anyone wants to record indidual data they can do this at www.mczmapping.org. I do have contact details if you would rather talk to a person. Deborah.
Thank You To All Those Who HelpedA big thank you to everyone who helped with all the jobs getting everything ready for Sundays race, for marshaling, catering and safety boats. Your help and support makes organising the event so much easier. From the Racing Committee
The Essex Operations Delivery Team is highly likely to be assisting Essex Police in their search for a body in the River Chelmer/Can on Wednesday 30 December 2009. Though yet to be confirmed by Essex Police, it is likely that the Chelmsford Gates will be fully opened on Wednesday 30 December from about 0800 hours and the rivers should remain totally open until about 1500 hours to enable Police searching operations. If Essex Police do wish this search to be undertaken, no river boating activity will be possible or safe during this period.
Chelmsford won our hasler race with 239 points out of a possible 240. We also won the lightning event.
Well done everyone paddlers; helpers and organisers alike.
Well done to everyone who attended. We had the largest team for some years and came 19th.
